TAG International Everest Expedition, Spring 2016
Namaste and Welcome to our expedition blog!
We are extremely delighted to announce that we are going to organize Everest Expedition via North Ridge (Tibet) this spring 2016. Our Expedition Team has 9 climbing members led by Tendi Sherpa, a Nepalese experienced mountain guide who has not only led 10 successful expeditions to the Everest Summit; but also participated in many successful mountaineering training and rescue missions. Our Expedition crew includes 5 mountain guides, 8 climbing Sherpas, 7 cook staffs, 3 BC managers and 1 High Altitude mountain doctor to ensure the flawless operation of our Expedition.
Because of the less objective hazards, we choose to climb via North Ridge this spring. After the streak of bad luck for two consecutive years due to the avalanche in 2014 and the devastating earthquake in 2015, we hope that we could achieve our goal to summit Everest safely and successfully this year.
Now, after our continuous preparation for last 15 days, we have almost completed our final preparation on logistic part in Kathmandu. With our highly dedicated team, we have been able to prepare everything on time so far and are looking forward to the smooth running of the Expedition as a whole.
Our team members comprise of enthusiastic climbers from Argentina, Canada, Mexico, Malaysia, and Switzerland. Though, this is the first expedition ever organized by TAGnepal Treks & Expedition, a tour and mountaineering operator based in Kathmandu; we are committed for the entire satisfaction of our valuable team members.
We are tentatively planning to depart for Tibet by 12th April 2016 and hopefully we will be summiting between 15th May-30th depending on the circumstances like weather condition, route condition and fitness level of the climbing members.
